And She Was: Week Forty-Seven 2011

How Christmassy is everyone feeling? Sadly I don’t feel an iota bit festive yet, even having consumed one eggnog latte and lino block-printed about 20 metres of brown paper for gift wrap yesterday. Hopefully that’ll change soon, for the red-suited man will be darting down our chimneys in less than a month, and I still need to work up the enthusiasm to print, make and write our Christmas cards.

Nevertheless, here are some images which have inspired me this past week, and below the jump, a little bit of what I’ve been up to recently…

Having returned from Cornwall on Sunday night, I was in the mood for spending the entire week laying low and detoxing, so didn’t really get up to much. I did pop into a work party at Sketch on Thursday night, and have a gluttonous Thanksgiving feast on Friday night followed by karaoke, though.

With Jim off to Cornwall yesterday, I got busy with the housework and lino block-printed festive scenes onto brown paper in front of an old Ingrid Bergman film. And then about five episodes of Gossip Girl

Today, I ventured over to Tooting Broadway to meet my friend Salome at the Got Craft? craft fair, held at the brilliant Tooting Tram and Social pub. It’s such an amazing space — stay tuned for photos of the fair later. Afterwards, I hightailed it up to London Bridge for a Christmas feast (mostly of cheese and prosecco) with Gemma at Darika’s pad. Home then beckoned five hours later, where I’m currently tucked up in bed with a mug of liquorice and nettle tea and a fluffy kitten. Night!
