And She Was: Week Forty-Six 2011

I just realised I’ve done five weeks’ worth of And She Was posts, spelling “forty” as “fourty” in the header. Whoops. I blame my mind being on other things recently on that one, though I managed to have a blissful, chilled-out weekend down in Cornwall catching up on RSS and Tumblr-ing and Pinterest-ing some really pretty images. The best of which you can see below…

So yes, last week was pretty busy, with the highlights being seeing The Cure at the Royal Albert Hall (the most amazing gig I’ve ever been to — Robert Smith was on amazing form, making jokes, talking to the crowd and actually smiling, resulting in the most intimate-feeling atmosphere. You could hear electricity crackle in the air, it was so magical feeling) and going to Cornwall on Thursday night for a long weekend with some galpals.

Laura drove both of us; Kam and a second Laura down to my in-laws’ cottage after work, and we had a really relaxing time down there, catching up with Petah who caught the train down on Friday. We mostly watched bad ’90s chick flicks (Spiceworld! Romy and Michelle! The Craft!) and took a 4-mile walk along the clifftops to a nearby town for pasties and cream teas. So blissful…I wish we were back there now.
