Developing a Major Nat Nicklin Obsession

Pioneers — Delia Derbyshire

When compiling last week’s And She Was round-up of inspirational images, I came across the hugely-talented Nat Nicklin’s work. Ever find yourself stuck in a 40-tab k-hole, where you can’t help but inspect every square millimetre of someone’s website or blog? That was me this past Sunday, on Nicklin’s site.

From commissioned editorial work for the likes of New Scientist and WIRED magazine, to commercial work for Urban Outfitters, the British designer’s future-gazing nostalgia-derived collages are a real mish-mash delight. I can’t even begin to describe how much I love her work — almost enough to consider getting an iPhone, just so I can buy one of her cases. Why oh why doesn’t anyone make any nice HTC cases, huh? *Nat Nicklin; Nicklin’s BigCartel & Nicklin on Society6*
